Five Things God Wants to Do for You.

Is there something you want God to do for you? According to His Word, there are several things God wants to do for you—good things that we all desire. So what's the catch? The condition is that you must set your love upon Him.

PSALM 91:14–15
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

In these two verses there are five things El Shaddai—the God Who is more than enough—said He will do for the person who sets his or her love upon Him.

God said, "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore I WILL . . .":

1. Deliver him.
2. Set him on high.
3. Answer him.
4. Be with him and deliver him.
5. Honour him.

We need to understand the importance of the simple phrase "I will" or "I shall."

This is what that verse literally says: "If you will ask anything in My Name, if I don't have it, I'll make it for you"!

"I'll make it for you"! Thank God, He can, because He is El Shaddai—the God Who is more than enough!

I was reminded of this incident because in Psalm 91:14–15, God says He "will do" the following five things.

1. "I will deliver him."
Thank God, the God Who is more than enough is a delivering God!

God told Abraham that his descendants would be sojourners in a foreign land for 400 years, but He promised, "I will bring them out with a strong hand."

God doesn't forget His promises: 430 years after Israel's captivity began in Egypt, God raised up Moses and Aaron to lead Israel out of bondage—and He brought them out with a strong hand. He is still the same delivering God today! He is more than enough!

According to Acts 10:38, "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

Satan is the oppressor. Jesus is the deliverer.

2. "I will set him on high, because he has known my name."We will look at this when we consider the fifth point.

3. "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him."God has always been a prayer-answering God. Throughout the Bible, God said, "I will answer."

Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

In Isaiah 43:25 God said, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." Then He added, "Put me in remembrance" (v. 26).

Remind God of His promises! Remind Him of His Word! He is faithful to cause it to come to pass in your life.

The New Testament also proves that God hears and answers prayer.

MATTHEW 7:7–8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

MARK 11:24
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

JOHN 16:23
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

God will hear and answer your prayers! He doesn't want you to worry or be anxious about a thing. Philippians 4:6 says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." Be careful for nothing! Or, a better translation is, "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything" (Amplified).

Why shouldn't you fret or have anxiety? Because God is the One Who is more than enough! He is the All-Sufficient One, the One Who never changes and never fails (Heb. 13:8). He is just as able today as He ever was, and He's interested in you! He's concerned about you! That's why He said, "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore . . . I will answer him."

4. "I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him."
God didn't say you weren't going to have trouble just because you've been born again and filled with the Spirit. In fact, He rather infers that you are going to have trouble because you're a Christian.

The world is going to persecute you. They're going to talk about you. They're going to speak evil of you. And the devil, who is the god of this world, will put pressure on you at every turn.

No, God didn't say we would never have any troubles. But He did say, "I will be with him in trouble."

Psalm 34:19 says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." Does the Lord deliver us out of half of the afflictions or troubles? No, He delivers us out of all of them!

5. "I will honour him."
God said, "I will honour him" (Ps. 91:15). This statement is similar in meaning to "I will set him on high," which according to Psalm 91:14 is the second thing God wants to do for us. These are two things God said He would do for the person who has set his love upon Him.

I would rather have God's honour than have the greatest honour this world can bestow. The world honours politicians, statesmen, generals, educators, superstars, athletes, and inventors. But if they ever honour a preacher, they honour some humanistic preacher who doesn't believe in the Virgin Birth or the authenticity of the Word of God.

The world as a whole will never honour a real Bible-believing, tongue-talking, divine healing-practising preacher of the Gospel any more than the world honoured Jesus. No, you must compromise if you want to receive the honour of this world. But I would rather have God's honour. The world's honour will pass and fade away, but the honour God bestows will last forever.

Are there circumstances in your life from which you need to be delivered? Are you in a difficult situation and there seems to be no way out? God promises you deliverance!

Have you been crying out to God about problems in your life? Do you have prayers that need to be answered? Thank God, He will answer you when you call upon Him!

No matter what you are going through right now, no matter what the doctor reports or the news forecasts, God will be with you in trouble. And not only will He be with you in trouble, He will also deliver you!

When you set your love upon God and know His Name, He will honour you and set you on high. I don't know about you, but I want to be set on high where the devil and circumstances and problems of this world can't touch me!

If your love is set upon God, begin to thank Him today for these five promises that He's given you in His Word. Thank Him and praise Him for delivering you, for setting you on high, for answering you when you call, for being with you in trouble and delivering you, and for honouring you. Thank God for all He is doing in your life!

Walking in Love.

Many people refer to First Corinthians chapter 13 as “the love chapter.” Too often, we want to skip over reading that part of the Bible. I will readily admit that there have been times in my life when I wanted to ignore that chapter.

But during those times, the Lord continued to lead me to read it. First Corinthians 13:4–7 in the Amplified says, “Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].”

 If we would all practice this passage on a daily basis, we would live peaceful and productive lives. However, our flesh often gets in the way. Instead of ignoring injustices that are done to us, we want to get even. Instead of walking in love, we want to repay evil for evil.

  

The test of walking in love is not something you pass one time and never have to experience again. No, your love walk will be tested continually. I’ve often said to the Lord, “I must really need a lesson on love, because I seem to be tested on a daily basis!”

I’m reminded of the story about a woman who was complaining to her husband that he never told her he loved her. The husband replied, “I told you I loved you when I asked you to marry me, and if I ever change my mind, I’ll let you know.” We should not be like that husband. Instead, we should say the words “I love you” freely.

We should learn to tell each other that we love one another many times a day.  I believe those are important words to say. We all need to be reassured of the love others have for us, and we need to reassure others of our love for them.

Some of you may not have heard those words very often in your childhood, and some of you may find it awkward to say, “I love you.”  But I encourage you that if you’ll start saying, “I love you,” those words will become easier to say and more natural to you each time you repeat them.

I encourage you to not take your friends and family for granted, but to express your love and appreciation for them on a continual basis. Don’t live with regret after the death of a loved one, wishing you had expressed words of love to them more often. Decide today that you will walk in love and that you will express words of love to your family and friends.

Learn to use a computer, a new app, social media. Boost your confidence by learning and reading more on topics that would develop your business. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

7. Associate with Successful people (just as you are here today)

Find time to attend other networking sessions relevant to your areas of businesses. Find a mentor, business coach that helps to quicken your advancement.

Balance your family life, even as you grow in business. Spend quality with your spouse, children and loved ones.

9. Believe in your ideas:

Give your venture everything you’ve got.

10. NOW,

I encourage you to get out there and use all the idea and knowledge you gained.

The Gift of Peace

Jesus―the Prince of Peace―wants us to have His peace in every part of our lives, at all times. This verse goes on to say, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Instead of hanging on to worry, anxiety, fear or frustration, you can receive His gift of supernatural peace. Moment by moment, day by day, I encourage you to put your trust in God. As you go through the process of releasing your worries and cares to Him, you will find a peace that surpasses all understanding.

The Gift of Joy

Fullness of joy is found not in God’s presents, but in His presence. That’s why the Bible says we can have inexpressible, glorious, triumphant, heavenly joy no matter what is happening around us. One of the easiest ways to increase your joy and the joy of others is to keep your heart and mind focused on God and His Word. As you carry out your daily responsibilities and activities, ask God to help you and lead you. Then relax in the overwhelming, empowering joy of the Lord—joy that cannot be fully explained or understood!

The Gift of Righteousness

Righteousness is right standing with God. When we accept Jesus, He gives us the gift of His righteousness, and by faith, we are made right with God. You don’t have to worry about making mistakes. God knows you will make them! But because of Jesus, you can rest in His righteousness. As you unwrap this incredible gift, I encourage you to pray with boldness. Remember, He does not hear or answer our prayers because we are good; He hears and answers because He is good!

The Gift of Hope

Hope is an extraordinary gift. It allows us to experience peace and joy as we simply believe God’s Word and the promises it holds. Romans 15:13 says that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can overflow or “bubble over” with hope. Although we can’t prevent negative feelings from ever showing up, we can quickly chase them away by choosing hope-filled thoughts, words and actions. Our hope is in Christ and He will never fail us.

The Gift of Faith

Faith in God brings a supernatural rest into our souls, allowing us to live simply and freely, the way He wants us to live. Trust doesn’t just happen in our relationship with God, but grows as we come to know Him more personally, take steps of faith and experience His faithfulness. It is a gift that is often released through the power of prayer and thanksgiving. I encourage you to ask God to help you develop a deeper trust in Him, and then thank Him in advance for the gift of faith He has given you.

The Gift of Love

God's Word teaches us to love everyone, including ourselves. As you receive God’s love and learn to love yourself by seeing yourself through God’s eyes, then you will be able to love others the way God loves them. God’s love is a wondrous gift that He freely gives us. We can’t earn it and we don’t deserve it, yet He willingly and continually longs to express His love to us. All we need to do is open our hearts, believe His Word, and receive it with thankfulness. Believe that God loves you with an everlasting love, and then share that love with others.

I want to encourage you to continue to pursue a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him through the Word and prayer each day. As you do, God will fill your heart with the peace and joy.

The Simple Truth About True Love.

The Bible teaches us that it’s God’s will for us to help hurting people. In John 13:34-35, Jesus says, “I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]” (AMP). Matthew 22:37-38 says, “…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). This is the…first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as [you do] yourself” (AMP).

The love message is the power of the Gospel. It’s so simple: Love God and love your neighbour as you love yourself. We often think we need someone to love us, but what we really need is someone to love. And the world is desperate for real love, so it isn't hard to find someone who needs to be loved.

We live in a society that drives people to selfishness. So much of the advertising we see and hear influences us to want more and more and to never be satisfied with what we have. But the more selfish and self-centred we are, the less power we have to do good and help others.

The good news is we have what we need in Christ to overcome a selfish, “What about me?!” mindset and lifestyle. We have the power of God’s love! It’s the answer to every dilemma and problem in our society today. And as Christians, our goal is to represent Christ in the world and show His love.

What Is True Love?

Love is not just a feeling, or a theory, or a nice word. It’s action—it’s the way you treat people, what you do for others. Love will always cost you something: time, energy, effort, money, giving up your pride, doing what’s right when you don’t feel like it, keeping a good attitude when you don’t get your way.

Loving the way God loves means you love when there’s nothing in it for you; it’s all about giving out and not expecting anything in return. We’re called to outreach, not in-reach. Real love is about dying to self and living to love others.

Before you can love others, you have to experience God’s love in your own life, because you can’t give away something you don’t have. Then you have to be willing to ask God to teach you to love the way He loves. When you do this, God will enable you to reach out and help someone else. I know this works because I've lived it.

Live to Love!

I used to be selfish, self-centred, always thinking about how I could get my way. And I was miserable. See, I loved God and wanted to love people, but no matter how hard I tried to be sweet and nice to everybody, all of my trying was getting me nowhere. I was cranky, hard to get along with and impatient. God showed me the problem was that I didn't like myself because of the shame of my past. I grew up in an abusive home, and I felt guilty, condemned and ashamed because of it. I had to accept God’s love for me before I could love anyone else.

So I decided to study God’s love in the Word, pray for God to change my heart, and confess what His Word says about His love for me. Every day I would say out loud, “God loves me,” and I would say it over and over to purposely keep this truth in my heart throughout the day. After a year of doing this, I finally got a revelation about God’s love for me.

Now I am able to receive God’s love and love others the way Jesus taught us to love. I don’t do it perfectly all the time, but I’ve come a long way and am making progress every day. My prayer is, “God, show me how I can help others. Make me a blessing everywhere I go. I want to live to love You and others.”

In my personal life, I try to make it my business to add value to everybody I come in contact with. I can honestly say that learning how to love others with God’s love has made me the happiest I've ever been. The truth is you can’t be selfish and be happy or have peace.

Make it your goal each day to pursue God’s love and then give it away. First Corinthians 14:1 (AMP) says to “eagerly pursue and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest].” So go after it with all your might, and ask God to make you a blessing everywhere you go. You can do something to help someone. You can live to love, just like Jesus.
