THE VALUE OF WISDOM
I [wisdom] was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began.
PROVERBS 8:23
Sometimes it seems as if God is taking forever to fulfill His promises for my life. And then I’m reminded that before me there was eternity. My lifespan is a small segment in time for an infinite God. God has all the time in the world to bring His purposes to pass.
You and I are bound by time and humanity. Our flesh cries out for what it wants now. But before you and me, there was Wisdom. She was appointed from the beginning and knows that perfection takes time. God’s plans for our lives were birthed out of His omniscience, and Wisdom was part of God’s big picture plan for us. Before the world began He knew what we would do, so Wisdom was sent to chart our way, to anticipate our mistakes, and to make ways out of what we think are dead ends.
From the beginning God had us in mind. Before we had questions, He answered them. He reaches down and gives us His knowledge to help us navigate through life and reach our destiny—our divine destiny.
